I. Executive Summary
 Business Concept. Movemeant is a company committed to bringing individuals and
worksites exercise classes and movement resources directly to them. Movemeant’s
specialty is offering two key classes to choose from, a kickboxing class and a boot camp
circuit class. Each class provides participants with all equipment, music, motivation and
instruction needed to serve up to 20 participants. Classes are 45 minutes in length and
provided onsite at participants’ worksite or group setting.
 Company Description. Movemeant is a service-based company developed by Melissa
Mulder, BS Exercise Science and Corporate and Community Health. Movemeant is
located in Buffalo, MN. Movemeant’s primary area of focus is bringing exercise classes
to worksites or groups, but also provides worksite wellness campaigns and consulting.
 Market Potential. Movemeant is keenly located to serve worksites and groups in a rural
setting. Movemeant will target companies with-in a 30 mile radius of Buffalo, MN that
employee 100-500 employees. This market rarely gets the attention of larger fitness
industries to provide facilities or classes for employees, but is largely sought after by
employee groups in this sector for employee health enhancement.
 Management Team. Movemeant is owned and operated by Melissa Mulder. The
Movemeant team also includes marketing professional Susie O’konek, Technology
consulting by Innovative Technology Solutions, Accounting service from Greg
Bonnema, CPA, and referring partners, Adjust to Health Chiropractic.
 Distinct Competencies. Movemeant’s owner has spent 15 years in the wellness industry
developing, implementing and providing exercise instruction and guidance. 12 years of
that experience has been directly involved in programming for the rural worksite market.
Movement’s owner has created a service based upon the experience of trial and error in
previous programming. Employees are looking for health and exercise services, but need
those services to be convenient, direct and affordable. Employers have the same needs.
Health insurance costs continue to rise and the largest corporate expense is also their
greatest asset, the worksite’s employees. An investment in employee health is directly
correlated to an investment in securing future assets.
 Required Funding and Purposes. Movemeant is seeking $8,000.00 in start-up funding.
A breakdown of expenses and inventory needs is included in the Appendices section.
 Exit Strategy. Movemeant has an exit strategy of fulfilling any outstanding contracts
and payment. Upon exit of company Movemeant will also fulfill any financing through
acquired or purchased assets, or payment in full.
