What can i learn from my title sequence
1.
2. CHARACTERS
One of the things that I can learn in my opening sequence is
that our main protagonist is dealing with mental issues. We
know this by the faint voices in the background and as she
also acts with no emotion for example when stepping over
the lifeless girl, normal teenager would either call for help,
over react or check on the body.
As our film is a psychological thriller like the panic room in
contrast, we see these characters dealing with using physical
resources to solve their problem, however, the audience still
would have questions on the problem the killer is solving in
‘Raised by the voices’
3. LIGHTING & MUSIC
Secondly, from the dark lighting in our opening
sequence I immediately know that it would be a thriller
film supported by the music as it is suspenseful and fast
paced which is also seen in the panic room below. The
busy is fast and keeps the audience at the edge of their
seat as well as wanting to watch on. The lighting in this
film is also dark as it is based at night similar to our
sequence as it is based around 6pm. Our sequence
may also be more suspenseful as we know that at night
it more dangerous and more likely to get away with
things such as murder which is a question raised.
