England had brought such mental breadth to
the discussion of aesthetic values”
He was much interested in finding out the
hidden secret of creative process. He was
interest in analyzing Minutely the power,
Which led him to the creation.
5. ‘Fancy and Imagination is important element
of poetry.’
Imagination Divided in 2 type : Primary and
Secondary
Primary is the power of human perception
presenting to the mind its own world.
Secondary is idential with primary in kind but
difference in degree and mode of its operation.

“Imagination is itself is
beautiful. It has a
beauty – making power.
That way Imagination
does not make a copy, It
turns external into
internal, The finite into
infinite.”

Imagination, Rhyme and Meter. Gives
Knowledge
Prose has Simple and Regular way. And prose
gives Truth and Information.
Poetry is kind of activity of mind. Poetry is
only the form of verbal expression.
8. Wordsworth
The language of Poetry
should be the language
really used by Rustic
people, who is close to
nature.
It should be live. It can
express real emotion.
It should have certain
colouring of Imagination.
There were no essential
difference between Poetry
and Prose.
9. If there is selection of
language as Wordsworth,
then there would be no
difference between the
Rustic and Cities.
The Best part of a man’s
language does not result of
merely from of
communication with nature
but from education and
noble thought.
According to him Language
poetry should have
selective and purified.
10. As harsh as it seems at times, this discourse of the two authors
went to personal level, but remained highly academic and as
such is valued. Coleridge never questioned Wordsworth's
ability to create genius work. This debate of two scholars
finally produced valuable insight into the literary discussions
of the age, and made a huge leap into the literary criticism
world, shaping it further as a valued discipline.
Coleridge died in Highgate, London on 25 July 1834 as a
result of heart failure compounded by an unknown lung
disorder, possibly linked to his use of opium. Coleridge is
buried in the aisle of St. Michael’s Parish Church, Highgate.
