3. CMC, Vellore:
This building has vivid
departments and their
respective wards
along with different
pharmacy stores.
This block is built in the
memory of Dr. Ida Scudder. As
she was an obstetrician; this
block is mainly for Obstetrics,
Gynaecology and paediatrics.
It also has radiology, chemo
and haematology units.
Basically it is for
Private patients.
It has all
departments
except O&G and
paediatrics.
It is for out- patients
and have various OPD
clinics.
4. Pharmacy in CMC, Vellore:
• They had a total of 29 pharmacy units { 20 inside the campus and 9 in and
around Vellore}.
• They have a systematic segregated units and well organised way of
employment.
• They have a in-house Quality Control department for the quality assurance of
regiments produced by the manufacturing unit of CMC.
• The manufacturing unit produces some small volume parenteral and non -
parenteral preparations.
• They have a patient counselling desk for counselling patients about drugs and
their administration.
• They have DISH for dealing pharmacovigilance cases.
