Health (care) marketing is an innovative approach to public health that applies traditional marketing principles alongside science-based strategies for prevention, health promotion, and protection. In Kenya, circumcision is being promoted to prevent HIV by treating it as a product, making it accessible in local places, creating awareness to promote it, and considering the procedure cost. Health promotion aims to enable people to control their health and determinants by building healthy policy, supportive environments, community action, personal skills, and reorienting health services.
