Redefining Education for the Emerging World

2. We are passing through a tough phase because of COVID 19
pandemic. In this context, this is a crucial topic of discussion. It will
make us rethink our vision in a changing world.
It will also inspire us to think about ways and means to address new
and emerging challenges.

3. CII is the oldest such organization in the country and has contributed
to the country's progress over the last 125 years. I would like to wish
you all the best. Education is the backbone of our country.
India is the largest democracy in the country, with around 15-16 lakh
schools educating around 33 lakh students.
The world is watching India at this time. It is our good fortune and
honor.

4. We believe that the world is our family (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam), and
we work for the growth of each and every member of the family. It is
this thought that makes us the world's guru.
We need to bring alive our dominant past when India was ahead in
every field. Several pathbreaking initiatives, introduced by our Prime
Minister Shri Narendra Modi, like Make in India, Digital India, and
Startup India, depends on education.

5. We are committed to providing the best education to everybody in the
country. I am proud of young Indians who are working on research
during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I am confident that Yukti (Young India Combating COVID with
Knowledge, Technology, and Innovation) portal will play a leading role
in developing social, scientific, and research though among the
country's youth.

6. People are coming from various ASEAN countries to come and study
in India. We are in the process of developing a sustainable model for
providing online education in all parts of the country.
I believe in the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of
converting challenges into opportunities. We are trying to reach all
children, whether he/she has a smartphone or not.

7. We are using several mediums like community radio and televisions to
provide online education in the current circumstances. We are
progressing with our mission of One Nation One Platform.
From Leh to Kanya Kumari and from Kutch to Mizoram, we are
committed to reaching each and every child.

8. This is the country of Aryabhatta and Ayurveda. We have the capability
to lead the world.
I am confident about the ability of our children and youth.
Education at all levels is our priority, and I am sure your vision and
expertise will help us grow.
