Kong reference. The intertextual reference is that vogue’s
cover is the same layout as the King Kong poster as it is a
very controversial poster too look at side by side
compared the poster as King Kong is referred to a
basketball player and the woman is referred as a model in
the magazine, They may have applied this intertextual
reference because King Kong may have been coming
pack to watch and therefore Vogue took that opportunity
but instead made it very controversial.
