3. Book cover I am redesigning
The hunger games is about two types of people
who are living together but are separated by
wealth. The poorer people are used as
entertainment for the rich, by fighting in a battle
until one person is left who wins.
5. ‘Barbed Wires’ – Darrel Flood
• I think this font is suitable for the book because it
is using barbed wire to create the letters. This
links to the book because society in the film are
trapped in a inhuman like world, where the poor
are slaved around by the rich. The font has a
average cap line and base line, which is good
because it could represent how people in the
society are kept in place and are managed well.
This is also a sans serif font which is less of a ‘fun’
font, which therefore represents the serious and
meaningful side of the book as well.
6. ‘Lobster’ – Pablo Impallari
• I think this font is suitable for the book because of the
‘fun’ theme to it, as it is a serif font. This links to the
book because the main synopsis of the book is about
‘games’, which is also in the title of the book. This will
give the audience an idea of what the book may be
about and the genre of the book. The cap line and base
line are a lot larger than the mean line, which could
represent how they are 3 types of people in the film,
the cap line are the rich, the baseline are the poor and
the mean line are the people living in normal society.
7. ‘Optimus Princeps’ – Manfred Klein
• I think this font is suitable for the book because it
is like a medieval styled font. This links to the
book because the theme of the book is battle and
in the medieval times a lot of this went on, so
therefore the audience would get an idea of the
theme of the book from just seeing the font. The
font is also part of the serif group, which could
also represent how there is a formal side to the
book and also a medieval themed side.
8. ‘Kindergarten’ - Geronimo
• I think this font is suitable for the film because of the
fun themed side of the film. This is because the film
has humorous parts and also is very fun to watch, so
therefore people in the younger ages can watch this
film for entertainment, even if they do not fully
understand the story line. The font is a ‘messy’ font
because it is styled as a way that a child has written it,
so therefore also means that it is suitable for all ages,
which links to the target audience. This is a decorative
font which also links to the theme of ‘entertainment’
and ‘fun’.
