– What exactly is the problem to be solved?
• Emphasis on solution implementation or
‘product support’
• Solution described in terms of a business
plan, rather than a process for data collection
– Makes sense given background in business

• Again, a strong emphasis on problem
clarification
• Embodiment largely in the form of sketches to
help convey ideas / configurations
• Multiple solutions proposed to solve the
problem
– Some qualitative analysis comparing the
alternatives
