2. Profile
I am a practicing landscape architect,
licensed in the states of Maryland and
New York, with 12 years of experience
working on a range of projects in the
private and public sectors. I thrive on
collaboration with other professionals
who are passionate about design, and
am always eager to learn and expand my
field of experience. While currently a
resident of United States, I have been
a member of the Landscape Institute
for several years, and have a keen
interest in a global approach to design,
community, and life in general.

The goal for the master plan was to phase out the shopping
mall, and develop a more vibrant downtown to connect and
energize the community. Our team conducted charrettes with
the community over several days. My involvement included
facilitation, design, and graphic production as part of the team.

Maryland Transportation Authority
The project involved preparation of
landscape concept alternatives and
renderings for implementation of low
maintenance, landscape gateway treatments
for the eastbound and westbound
approaches to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
11. Coastal Highway
Ocean City, MD
State Highway Administration
Originally, this project was a “Road Diet;”
as part of the project I identified
opprortunities for place-branding, which I
presented to the Mayor and City Council.
Ultimately, the “Road Diet” aspect of the
project was not approved, but the Mayor
and City Council kept the place-branding
improvements to the median.
Proposed imprlovements include “sand
dunes” made of mounded resin-bound
aggregate, a custom undulating “Dune
Fence” - both of which strengthen the
connection to the adjacent beach and
serve to prevent mid-block crossings,
improving human safety and welfare.

The Hanover Company
The 180-unit building offers a mix of one- and two-bedroom units, and features
a 2,700 SF clubhouse that includes a fitness room, cafe, computer station and
a lounge for residents. The project also included two amenity courtyards and
streetscape design.
I was involved in the project from concept design, produced graphics, drafted
the construction documents, and performed construction administration for the
project.
14. HOWARD COMMUNITY COLLEGE & WASHINGTON QUAD - UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND
Howard Community College
Columbia, MD
The design team (consisting of an architect and myself) collaborated
with a local artist to creative a specialty feature walkway for the
campus. This included the selection of paving materials to interpret
the colors and textures of the intended design. Full-scale prints of
the drafted design were used in the field to custom-cut and install
the pavers.

“A sustainable outdoor “living room” that has become
the new model for all outdoor design on campus.”
Among the many sustainable features is a 10,000
gallon underground cistern that collects rainwater
from the adjacent roofs to irrigate 96 trees and
hundreds of native plants that were added to the site.
43% of the impervious surfaces were replaced with
lawns, a high-tech, synthetic-surface volleyball court,
large barbeque grills, and two pergolas for both
formal and informal activities.
I was involved from concept design, modified and
drafted the plan for the Quad, and proposed the
central paving emblem to provide an additional sense of
place. 06
16. MAPLE LAWN Community, Midtown Medical, & EBDI
Maple Lawn
Fulton, MD
The master plan for this 600-acre
TND recommends four distinct
residential neighborhoods – each
with an identifiable urban center
and green space. As a sustainable
development, Maple Lawn effectively
combines 1.2 million SF of
commercial and retail space with
1,340 residential units.
Site amenities, including gateway
Monument signage were integral to
the master plan.
I detailed the walls, provided
landscape design and drafted the
construction documents.
17. East Baltimore Development, Inc. (EBDI)
Baltimore, MD
EBDI was established to “revitalize, re-energize and
rebuild the East Baltimore neighborhood” which is has
suffered from blight and neglect. I inventoried the
sites, and worked with engineers on the project to
provide construction of infrastructure necessary to
support the development of property. This included
streetscape improvements to promote human safety and
welfare, as well as aesthetics. As part of this effort,
I produced “before” and “after” graphics to illustrate
proposed improvements.
