3. What makes architecture a driving force in my life is the idea and
beauty of creation.
For me architecture—ideas of space, light and love—is profoundly
spiritual. Architects create sanctuaries that protect and connect us as
one. How we relate to each other in and through space connects our
body to our environment, our families to our cities, and our spirit to the
universe. How we think and create these relationships can make life
better, sweeter and richer for all of us.
All of these aspects of life are touched by the divine and the sublime.
Whether it is light, water, or nature, Islamic architecture emphasize
oneness and worship, a sense not only of being but becoming, a
sense not only of the individual but of a community that is open and
inclusive. In this sense, my vision of architecture is not defined by walls
and boundaries that confine us, but by doors and spaces that connect
us.
Through this following portfolio you may find my selected projects and

4. THE
HOMELESS HOME
4
MASTER PROJECTS
The homeless home is a center for the
homeless population in the skidrow, Los
Angeles.
This center, based on its name, works as
a home for the homeless population, not
only like a shelter for sleeping, but also as
a place to stay safe, confident, and calm.
The audience of the center, according to
the location needs, are women or families
with children, individual expecting moms,
and youth under 21.
The building includes a health center,
community and resource center, and
housing part.
Some stores,café, and restaurant located
in the first level, making money for the
center also a place for members to work,
there is a roof farm, where the members
can grow produces and sale them in the
building stores.
5. 5 6
The concept of this project was a poem
from Saadi Shirazi; an Iranian Poet lived in
the 12th century.
“Human beings are members of a whole,
In the creation of one essence and soul
If one member is afflicted with pain,
Other members uneasy will remain
If you’ve no sympathy for human pain,
the name of human you cannot retain.”
Then the idea of growing from the inside,
which I meant that the architecture and
building could affect the life of its members,
literally grow them. This growth from the
inside of the homeless population can
become a potential help for them. So Grow
from the inside and Unity were the second
concepts.

The Climate Research Center was located
in the salt lake city downtown in the state
of Utah.
Designing a welcoming place for people to
join was one of my goals as a designer.
The land had several trees inside, and
as I always have a great appreciation for
nature, I decided to design around the
trees and do not cut them off.
The concept of the project, based on the
importance of the location guidelines and
limitations, like trees, and the situation of
the downtown, was “Form and Function
Follow the Place.”

Section box views show clearly the way
that the building and the trees inside
connected and how this decision makes
a welcoming area for stay, rest, and
communication.
How each part of the plan, get light from
both sides, outside and inside, make this
project more enjoyable.
And the most important thing is that
“NO TREES CUT FOR BUILDING THIS
PROJECT.”

SCHOOL

DESIGN AND CONCEPT PARTIES
The Game Design Building redesigned by the concept
of “CONNECTION,” the connection between the virtual
world and the real world.
In the school of game design, game designers sit in
the real-world behind their desktop and design a virtual
world for gamers.
The difference between an architect as a building
designer and the game designer is that an architect
design in a location and borders but the game designer,
design in a location of the world without limitation,
borders, ethnicity, or genders.
Again trees play an essential role here as a symbol of
nature and like a signature in my designs.
Because it happens that a gamer or game designer
does not leave the building for several days and work
continuously, I decided to bring the outside and nature
inside the building, to avoid the missing of the trees and
the real world for them.

REDESIGN
SALT LAKE CITY (SLC)

GRAD. CERTIFICATE
IN URBAN DESIGN Pioneer Park is one of the oldest parks in
Salt Lake City downtown in the state of
Utah.
This park is facing the challenge of
homeless concentration in this area, now.
Due to this reason, people avoid using
park confidently.
During this project, adding soccer,
basketball, and other athletic games field
can bring the people to the park and also
adding an Art Culture Center, bring artists
to the park, setting open exhibitions by
artists attract people too.
In this redesign process, there is some
picnic area, which people can come and
enjoy the place, and the existence of tents
and modern art culture center, make an
attractive vision from outside the park.

The Green Mile is the name I chose for the
road dieting and park design around the
part of 400 South Street in the Salt Lake
City downtown, in the state of Utah.
This project was part of the Salt Lake City
downtown parks master plan.
Based on the AADT(Annual Average
Daily Traffic), this street elected to road
diet, adding a bike line and widening the
sidewalks.
Also, at the end side of the Green Mile, a
square was designed with Round-About
instead of a traffic light.
The Sugar House is a neighborhood in Salt
Lake City in the state of Utah.
This part of the project rounded by
residential building, and in the center,
there is a space designed for gatherings,
communications, and business.
There is an art building located in the
center and two-sport fields around the
border.

Tabiat Bridge is an urban, walkable bridge
in Tehran, Iran, which connected the
Taleghani natural park and Ab-o-Atash
modern park.
This bridge has three levels and includes
restaurants, café, seating areas, and
gathering places.
According to this project, I presented
several ideas for designing site features
for the bridge and the park, based on the
dominant materials used in this bridge,
which are wood, concrete, and metal
space frames.

During my master’s study, I decided
to apply for a graduate urban planning
certificate, too.
I thought that this option could give me a
better vision, in architecture and landscape
design.
To pass it needs, I took a GIS class, one
of the most efficient software in urban
projects.
These are some of my class projects,
which shows that I am familiar with this
software, and know its alphabet.

This school is a complex containing sports
building, library, theater, restaurant, and
prayer room in addition to the classes.
The underlying philosophy of this project
is “morality”. I was inspired by the ancient
beliefs about seeking knowledge from the
cradle to the grave when I designed the
spiraling stairway that represents the stage
of life, virtuosity, and growth, yet one where
the pinnacle and summit returned one to a
base.
The fountain in the center of the main
building is a symbol of life, and the glass
room in the highest level of the building is a
symbol of the sky.

In this project, all the forms, functions, and
structures were necessary.
The base form of the buildings is a cube.
For court and site designing, I used the
Persian Garden’s Plan, which is usually the
base form of Iran Palace’s courts.
I also used the tent structure to make
places for relaxing under shadows and
using the restaurant and café, located in
the main buildings.

The concept comes from modular, cultural, and religious
objects, called Mogharnas, which are used in Iranian Mosques
and Bazar’s arcs.
One example of Mogharnas is shown on this page.
First, I made a form based on triangles, and then, by voiding
that form found the desired shape.
Second, I made 2D lines and plans from the Mogharnas model
(as shown in the sketch)and attached them to the elevation of
the main building using glass and concrete.

Kharrazi residential complex was eight
skyscrapers in 32 levels and two sets of 4
blocks.
In this project, I was the project manager
assistant, and with charts and diagrams,
show the rate of development and take a
report for each period of work.
The main software we used was excel,
then MS project, which showed the
program of the project in the Gant Chart.
As I was an expert in Revit software, I did
the building modeling to show the façade
needed at that time.

In Nervesteel Holding, they did all the
architectural design of the Wisteria Grand
Hotel, like 3D model renders and AutoCAD
plans by themselves, but what they
needed from me, was the mechanical
models and structural models in Revit
based on the BIM.
I used Revit MEP and Structure during this
project.
