Type of Project: Urban Micro-Watershed Management Resiliency Plan, Garfield Historic District, Phoenix, AZ.
Description: Urban micro-watershed management project using green infrastructure principles to utilize over
73.5 million gallons of wasted storm water run off in the Garfield Historic District.
Objectives are to increase mobility, shade canopy coverage and environmental benefits using vacant lots to
use, store and clean storm water before it hits city drains.
Kintobo Holistic Healing Center, Graduate School Traveling Studio, 2013
Type of Project: Healing Garden & Narrative Landscape, Kintobo Village, Ruhengeri District, Rwanda.
Description: Award winning holistic health care center design for rural village in Western Rwanda.
Innovative health care outpost gardens designed to heal the mind, body and soul of a
underdeveloped East African community through a narrative landscape which also heals the site. Worked as
part of an interdisciplinary collaborative team, led a group of village elders during a research charrete, served
as lead narrative designer and project co-manager.
