Method is directly related to the presentation of the lesson.
Which a teacher should use ,depends on the nature of the
subject ,and the tact of the teacher.
According to Broudy ‘method refers to the formal
structure of the sequence of acts commonly denoted by
instruction.

Teaching strategy is the means to achieve learning
objectives.
According E.Stones and S.Morris teaching strategy is a
generalized plan for a lesson which incudes structure
,desired learner behaviour in terms of goals, instruction and
outline and planned tactics, necessary to implement the
strategy

Types of strategies depends on the nature of
organization of human activities. Teaching strategies
are divided into two types

• Teacher exercises full control over students,they are
given least chance to act freely.
• They can do what they are allowed to do
9. These strategies are child centred
• Interest ,capacities ,attitudes, needs, of learners are
taken to account
• Both students and teachers are equally active
• Purpose all round develop of the learners
• Teachers work as helper and guide.
