Content Standard:
ICT in the context of global communication for specific professional track
Performance Standard:
At the end of the 2-week period independently compose an insightful reflection paper on
the nature of ICT in the context of their lives, society, and professional tracks (Arts,
TechVoc, Sports, Academic)
Learning Competency:
Apply online safety, security, ethics, and etiquette standards and practice in the use of
ICTs as it would relate to their specific professional tracks.
SUB-OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the students are able to do the following:
Discuss the tips to stay safe online.
Analyze the safety of others when sharing information using internet.
Display awareness and respect to others reputation.

Prayer:
Before we start, Let us pray first. Jocydel please lead

Good Morning Class!
Classroom Management:
Before you sit down, Kindly check your surroundings
for pieces of paper and arrange your chairs properly.
Okay, Please be seated.
Checking of Attendance:
Miss secretary kindly report our attendance for
today.
That’s great! We have again a perfect attendance.
Review of Previous Lesson:
Class, last meeting we’ve discussed the ICT. Anyone
from the class who can give me the summary of what
we’ve discussed.

Before we start, I would like to present our
objectives of the day.

B. Motivation ( 5 minutes)
Lets play a game. Its called “Pass the ball”.
I have here a ball, all you need to do is to pass the
ball with your classmates and when the music stop,
the student who get the ball will answer the question.

Our lesson this afternoon is about Online security,
safety, and ethics.
But before we start, you have to answer the
questionnaire “How safe are you”?

Yes. It is also a source of entertainment like gaming,
music and movies.
The internet is one of the most dangerous places,
especially if you do not know what are you doing
with it. Like a swordman, without proper training
they can easily injure himself when wielding a
sword, the same whenever you use the internet.
The internet is a public place and its up to you to
protect yourself.

your access.

The Learners will be divided and form into 5 groups.
Instruction: (15 minutes)
Each group will create a scenario about “how do we
protect ourselves online”. It could be in a form of
role play, poem, small posters, song or reporting.
Your presentation will be evaluated using the
following scale:

Creativity- 1 2 3 4 5
Delivery- 1 2 3 4 5
Quality- 1 2 3 4 5
5 is the highest and 1 is the lowest score.
I’ll give you 15 minutes to present your task.
