Marta Salvador Sanchez Marco looked after our twin children from June 2013 until August 2014 as a live
in au pair. Our children were aged 20 months when she started with us and almost 3yrs old when she
finished.
She settled in to taking care of our children very quickly and her background and experience working as a
nursery school teacher in Spain was very clear as she started doing activities with them from a young age
which included; painting with their hands and feet,colouring, arts and crafts. As they got older Marta
expanded their activities to include puzzles, letters and numbers. Marta also ensured that they got plenty
of fresh air and exercise whenever the weather permitted.
She was extremely patient with the children and was affectionate and kind to them whilst also able to
maintain good boundaries for helping to manage their behavior. She was also very helpful and
experienced when it came time to nappy train our children as she had a lot of experience with it in the
nursery school in Spain.
Marta’s English was quite weak when she initially arrived but she was very committed to attending
English class twice a week and worked very hard at learning it and was much improved when she finished
with us.
At all times we found Marta to be very professional, responsible, considerate, helpful and reliable. I
would have no hesitation in recommending Marta to any child centred environment; be that in a nursery
school or crèche or a family. She is very adaptable.
