Vine was a video sharing app launched in January 2013 that allowed users to share short looping video clips. It was developed by Dom Hofmann, Rus Yusupov, and Colin Kroll and later acquired by Twitter. The app was free to download and easy to use, allowing users to instantly record, edit, and share six-second-long looping video clips. It featured some of the most popular Viners who gained large followings and had their videos widely shared, including King Bach, Nash Grier, Brittany Furlan, Lele Pons, and Rudy Mancuso.
