OBJECTIVE
Obtain a position in electrical power distribution operations or maintenance, leveraging the technical knowledge
and operational experience obtained while serving as a Nuclear Electrician in the United States Navy to the
benefit of maintaining the safe and uninterrupted distribution of electrical power and minimizing equipment
downtime.
SKILLS
Electrical power distribution systemoperations
Works well alone or on a team
Quick and dedicated learner
Excels in high-stress situations
Complex problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
In-depth knowledge of digital and analog circuitry, AC and DC motor controllers, voltage regulators,
and frequency regulators.
Experienced maintenance technician

OPERATIONS
Electrical Power Distribution System Operator May 2010-Present
Worked in close coordination with reactor plant and steamplant operators to effect proper propulsion plant
control. Directed and supervised operation of the electrical distribution systemfrom a central location. Exercised
the ability to diagnose and respond to abnormal situations quickly and efficiently to prevent/minimize the effect
of power interruptions. Monitored and controlled generatoroutput and loading conditions to ensure all loads were
supplied adequate power without exceeding equipment limitations. Experienced in coordinating planned
maintenance on equipment which impacted overall plant load capabilities.
Shutdown ReactorOperator October 2010-Present
Monitored reactor plant status for abnormal conditions which existed or were developing and took appropriate
action to ensure reactor safety was maintained. Exercised a comprehensive understanding ofintegrated nuclear
propulsion plant and reactor plant operations to coordinate all maintenance, operations, and testing. Supervised
operation of the electrical distribution system.
SUPERVISION
NuclearElectrical Division Supervisor March 2013-April 2014
Supervised over 25 nuclear electricians performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and
repairs of all electrical equipment onboard. Identified and tracked equipment deficiencies until appropriate
repairs/replacement were completed. Supervised extensive maintenance operations including major switchgear
overhaul, AC and DC power conversion equipment replacement, replacement of several motors, and inspection
and repairs to various circuit breakers and motor controllers.
ADMINISTRATION
Engineering Department Training Program Administrator April 2014-Present
Administered training program for over 120 nuclear operators.Developed quarterly and annual training plans
incorporating over 100 training topics for 11 training groups. Generated numerous qualification exams
encompassing 24 separate watch stations and biweekly continued training examinations. Identified and tracked all
training deficiencies until proper corrective actions were complete. Committed to continued process
improvement; revised several command instructions including those governing the training program and
examination security.
2. Command Calibration Coordinator May 2010-May 2012
Managed a calibration program incorporating over 1000 pieces of installed equipment, various calibration
standards and test equipment. I coordinated with over 20 divisions attached to the ship and several outside entities
to ensure all equipment was calibrated within periodicity and was working properly.
EDUCATION
Naval Nuclear Power Training Program November 2007-June2009
Trained in nuclear power plant operations, proper operations and maintenance of equipment onboard a nuclear
powered submarine. Studied nuclear physics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer fundamentals, nuclear reactor
engineering, mathematics, chemistry, radiological controls, radiation health, basic electricity, and digital and
microprocessor-based equipment.
