2. TYPES OF CHEMICAL REACTIONS:
• Combustion reaction is a reaction in which oxygen reacts with another element or compound
to produce energy in the form of heat and light.
• Combination reaction or synthesis is a chemical reaction in which two or more reactants
combine to form a single product
• Decomposition reaction is a chemical reaction wherein one single compound breaks down
into two or more products.
3. • Single Replacement reaction or single displacement reaction is a chemical reaction that
happens when one element replaces another element in a compound. One of the
components in the original compound is then displaced
• Double Replacement reaction or double displacement reaction or metathesis is a chemical
reaction wherein two compounds exchange bonds or ions in order to form different
compounds
