SEMI DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH GRADE 7
I. Objectives
At the end of this lesson the student will be able to:
a) Identify the pronoun/s in the sentence;
b) Complete the given sentences with the correct pronoun;
c) Appreciate the importance of pronoun in constructing a sentence.
d) Provide words or expressions appropriate for a given situation. EN9V-Ia-1
e) Infer thoughts, feelings, and intention in the material viewed. EN9VC-Ia-3.8

Motivation
The teacher will show a short video presentation.
Activity
The student will be group into three. The teacher will show a paragraph with missing words and
the students will complete it using pronouns. With the use of pronouns the group will chose one
member to present it in the class.
James and Mary were siblings. One day returned from school. were very
hungry and went to the kitchen. wanted to kept for . James ran out screaming. I was
scared. was always afraid of cats. Mary was a brave girl. she was not afraid of anything. shooed
the cat away. ran out. James saw the cat running out. came back into the kitchen
praised Mary for her courage. Mary thanked .
Analysis
Why do we replace noun into a noun?
Abstraction
The teacher will discuss about the topic about pronoun and its kinds.

Application
Complete the sentences using correct pronouns.
1) The doctor answered the call.
2) I saw the old lady fall and hurt .

4) My friend and like to eat Chinese food.
5) Elena poured a cup of coffee.
IV. Evaluation
Direction: in a ½ sheet of paper, answer the following.
A. Identify the pronoun/s in the sentence.
1) What is on your mind?
2) Lita, you will have to solve this problem yourself.
3) I shall type the manuscript myself.
4) Somebody forgot to turn off the light.
5) The girl whom you spoke with is here.
B. Complete the given sentences with a correct pronoun.
1) (this, these) He wants sandwich.
2) (he, she) played her favorite doll.
3) (what, who) are you doing?
4) (herself, myself) I don’t regard a good pianist.
5) (We, Our) all admire courage.
C. Discuss the importance of pronouns in constructing a sentence.
