Volunteer: Worked closely with the Executive Director and key management staff to ensure event and program
planning, donor and grant research, staff training, and program evaluation.
New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene 1995 - 2010
• Reorganized Bureau of HIV/AIDS with a staff of over 250 individuals.
• Designed/implemented the Women and HIV/AIDS Program for NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
• Designed/implemented the Female Condom Education and Distribution Project for NYC Department of Health
and Mental Hygiene since 1997, now a nationally cited model.
• Conducted Community Service Assessments to identify service gaps and drive strategic planning.
• Developed an Immigrant and HIV/AIDS Program for New York City.
• Presented at major conferences including the 2006 International Conference on AIDS in Toronto and the
American Publich Health Association (APHA)
• Convened conferences on women’s health, HIV/AIDS, global health issues and immigrant health.
• Mobilized the NYC faith community into a coalition of over 100 churches to address health & social service
