  2. 2. Introduction  Possessing years of experience in the nonprofit arena, Sheila Bugdanowitz has been invited to the White House to attend a session of community foundation leaders. Sheila Bugdanowitz has served as the president and CEO of the Rose Community Foundation since 1999. Rose Community Foundation operates many different programs that help make life in Denver better. The Rose Youth Foundation is a youth-led program that provides a group of committed and motivated teens with the opportunity to learn about community service and strategic philanthropy by using a $60,000 budget to make grants that help address community needs.

Rose Youth Foundation  Foundation members spend eight months exploring Jewish traditions, ascertaining the needs of the community, and identifying organizations and proposals that address those needs. The 2015-2016 cohort chose to focus on the issue of teen pregnancy, with emphasis on programs that work to prevent teen pregnancy and support pregnant and parenting teens.
