ABOUT
Switch Radio is an award winning, non profit community radio station,
based in North East Birmingham, broadcasting on 107.5 FM and DAB
digital radio across the West Midlands and wider.
We operate with a social mission to engage, educate and empower
communities across Birmingham, delivering accredited broadcast media
training courses, workshops and volunteer initiatives.
The station began life under its previous name, Vale FM, when it was
formed by residents from the Castle Vale estate in North East
Birmingham in 1995 and transformed to a non profit organisation
launching as Switch Radio 107.5 in April 2010.

We deliver an accredited Radio Broadcast Media training programme,

Open College Network Accreditation
Switch Radio is a recognised Open College Network media
center, offering an accredited OCN qualification, in Radio
Broadcast Media.
Our training includes both practical and theory elements in our
live and active Switch Radio studios.
We provide expert training delivered by qualified tutors and
experienced media industry professionals.
Our training delivery is an engaging, interactive and creative
learning experience for learners.
We present the theory through a digital learning space, that can
be completed at the learners pace. We offer extra support and
mentoring along the way to ensure the success of students
course completion.

The Digital Hub is part of the Pioneer Group Providing;
access to computers, desks, projectors and presentation
screen. Use of the digital Hub space and fees will be
dependent upon the use of the room facilities and project
