Countable and Uncountable Nouns
1. Countable and Uncountable Nouns
Countable nouns ( count nouns) have a singular and a
plural form. In plural, these nouns can be used with a
number — they can be counted.

one friend ( a friend) , two friends, three friends …
four lamps, five lamps, six lamps …
many friends
a lot of waiters
2. Uncountable nouns ( uncount / non- count ) can only be
used in singular. They can’t be used with a number — they
can’t be counted.
