2. WHOLE FOODS MARKET
Whole foods is definitely an inviting
store. Huge green lettering sign
with nice wood furnished
building surrounded with brick.
It has a feel of authenticity and
nature combined. Outside there
were trees and plants that made
you feel like you were walking
into a garden or the woods.
There were also signs outside is
nice cursive font presenting the
deals that they’re currently
offering. This establishment has
a huge store front that reels
consumers in.
3. WHOLE FOODS MARKET
As soon as you walk in the store has
warm colors which is really comforting. At
first glance everything just feels fresh
and organized. The floors were tile and
the air was filed with fresh produce.
There are lights everywhere so the store
is pretty bright with subtle music playing
in the background to comfort consumers
while they shop. It’s a bit cold to keep the
the produce fresh The store has so many
different sections food and produce that
it makes you want to stay and walk
around to see what they offer.
Depending on the section you’re in the
smell changes depending on the
produce. Seeing a store busy definitely
gives the consumer the perception that
the produce and products being sold are
of quality and gives them more reason to
purchase these products at a premium
price.
4. WHOLE FOODS MARKET
The employees that work there
are extremely nice and helpful.
They greet you and always ask if
you’re in need of assistance.
There uniform consist of the
whole foods t-shirt and black
pants. The employees seem to
range from early 30s to 40s and
50s. Genuinely nice, and helpful. I
found that there were men
working when I was there. At the
register when checking out they
always ask if you’ve found
everything okay and if you were
properly assisted. I believe the
store image and employees do
match which was great.
5. WHOLE FOODS MARKET
When you first walk in you see all the
fresh produce and its arranged very
nicely in a color coded manner which is
really appealing to the eye. You notice
all products have their own section. For
example I noticed that fruit and veggies
were all gathered and the candy and
chocolate were in there own isle.
Prices are all listed and easily visible.
Impulse items were near the register.
Such as healthy snack bars and
organic drinks and goodies. Whole
foods usually has a stand of something
new they’re offering new products
they’re selling which is always nice to
grab samples while shopping. Great
marketing tactic in my opinion which
gets the consumer to purchase more
items.
6. WHOLE FOODS MARKET
I saw that many of the
customers were alone. Majority
of the consumers were middle
aged women. I noticed that
many people walked a certain
path as they knew what they
were looking for and have been
to the store many times before.
Many customers do touch the
produce to pick and choose to
their liking. It seemed like
everyone who was in there
including myself purchased
some goods from whole foods.
7. FOOD CITY
Food City is definitely a
different style grocery store
compared to your Safeway
or local Vons. Food City is
more of a Mexican style
food oriented grocery store.
From the outside it doesn’t
seem quite welcoming has
the windows are tinted pitch
black and the wall paint
seems quite faded. They
advertise cheap produce
however the store seems
outdated.
8. FOOD CITY
The walls were white and the
lights seemed dimmed. Wasn’t
much of a color scheme which
made it feel unwelcoming. The
floor seemed to be tile
however, very outdated and
not polished. They had
Mexican music which kind of
made it seem like a little fiesta
in the store. Wasn’t too
crowded and the store was
about room temperature. There
was security standing at the
front door. When you first walk
in you notice the produce and
meats. Didn’t see too fresh,
wasn’t the most inviting store
I’ve been to.
9. FOOD CITY
There weren’t many employees
working. The only
employees were behind the
cash register or counter for
the meat produce section.
Mainly women were
working in the store and
they seem to be in their late
40s some in there late 20s. I
wasn’t contacted by a sales
person and the customer
service wasn’t the best.
10. FOOD CITY
They did have a wide
selection of spices and beer.
This is definitely the store to
come to if you’re looking to
have a BBQ. Prices were
clearly listed. However some
of the produce seemed like it
wasn’t fresh. There were not
any free samples however
they did have a section with
prepared food that you may
purchase. It seemed to look
like homemade Mexican
tamales, burritos, and tacos
11. FOOD CITY
There honestly weren’t too many
customers. Customers that I saw
were alone and there was a mix
of males and females aside from
one couple. It did seem as if the
customers were browsing around
the store to see what they had to
offer. They stayed about 5-10min
max and only half of them
bought products.
12. SPRINT
The Sprint store I went to
located in a shopping
center was small but long.
Had a big sign out front
and it seemed to be quite
welcoming. Made want to
come in and see what
they had. The door was
closed however, there was
a sign that was lit up
saying it was open.
13. SPRINT
The walls were grey/white and the carpet was yellowish green. Everything was
white which made the store feel “new” and unique. The store wasn’t too bright,
actually quite dim however the lights were shinning on the products they had.
They had soft music on in the background. It was about room temperature and it
smelled like a new shoes out of a shoe box.
14. SPRINT
The employees were nice and
helpful. As soon as you walk in
they’re quick to greet you and
tell you about whatever deals
they’re currently having. The
employees seemed to be quite
helpful. Only men were working
and they seemed to be their
late 20s. The salesmen were
using spring products and I feel
that the employees image
represents the stores.
15. SPRINT
On the wall they had all their phone cases and different phone choices
arranged in order. The lights were heavily placed over all items being
sold. The prices weren’t really visible but all the phones were at eye
level for people to hold and test them. There weren’t any impulse items
near the register however, they did have a central display of the new
phones that just came out
16. SPRINT
There was only a couple
customers that came in while
I went into the store. They
were alone and only one
seemed to gaze at the
products. The customers
mainly needed support with
their current device. These
customers seemed to be
middle aged men and
women. In my time there no
one had purchased anything.
17. PETS SMART
Pets smart definitely has a inviting
feel to it. With the contrast in color
of their sign as well as the ways its
curved really makes it stand out
amongst other places. The
building feels warm and
welcoming.
18. PETS SMART
When I walked in they were
having a bunny adoption. What I
didn’t realize before is that
petsmart does animal grooming
as well as sell products for
animals. The store is brightly lit
and employees are very helpful.
The ceilings were high and it felt
quite roomy. Definitely a bit loud
due to all the animals they have in
there. Wasn’t too crowded
however there were many
employees.
19. PETS SMART
Everything was labeled
neatly an product prices
were easily visible. Most
expensive stuff in the store
was placed towards the
back. They really try to catch
your eye with the deals
they’re having with big
signs. It did smell like pets in
there but at the same time it
was fresh. I think they do a
great job keeping the place
clean. The customers
seemed to be friendly and
mainly picking up food for
their pets.
20. MCDONALD'S
Before you even walk in you can smell
the food from outside which
immediately attracts customers.
Nothing fancy about the mcdonalds
color scheme just the normal red and
white with the yellow “m” When you
walk in you get a sense of happiness
because food smells great. The people
inside seemed to be happy and the
best part is the food is quite cheap.
There wasn’t any music in the
background and it was cool
temperature wise. The noise was
coming the employees working and
taking orders and all the machines
being uses to cook the food.
21. MCDONALD'S
There are pictures of the
more expensive and tastier
food items. The dollar menu
is off to the side. After reading
through the entire menu I
realized they offer a lot more
food that I was
knowledgeable about. When
you get to the counter the
employee greets everyone
the same and asks what
they’d like to order. There
were only females working
and only men customers is
what I noticed.
22. TARGET
Target has a basic color
scheme. The lettering is
big and red and their
infamous logo which is
very visible from afar. The
doors are closed however
it still feels inviting.
23. TARGET
Mainly men were working
when I stopped by but the
there were a variety of
customers. It was slightly
packed when I went and
people seemed to have a
direct path to what they
needed from the store. I
noticed many couples and the
employees were all quite
helpful. All products were
clearly labeled with visible
prices. Something I never
noticed was that target
actually sells groceries along
with appliances. They also
have a mini pharmacy and
food court which was
awesome.
24. TARGET
Target does a great job of
sectioning their different products
and organizing the items in a neat
fashion. At the checkout in the front
of the store I saw they have a lot
impulse items that people can
purchase. Customers tended to
pick up the items and check them
out before purchasing and
employees were always easily
accessible. They have certain posts
in the store that have a device that
allows you to price scan an item if
you can’t figure out the price. With
array of different items, target is a
go to for anything you need.
