Ross
-The first store I explored for this assignment was
Ross. I was truly disappointed in the entire store
to be honest. I do not shop here and probably
will not in the future. The sign and store front
really provided me no motivation to enter the
store let alone spend my money here.
-Once inside the store the color scheme
definitely pops. Blue is used throughout the
store which I affiliate with Wal-Mart low
prices for all. The floors are basic tile and
were very dirty which makes me feel dirty in
return. As seen in the picture to the right
merchandise is packed in and crowded.
Which creates a lot of opportunity to create
a mess.
-The store employees wore similar uniforms
and really did not communicate with
customers. The employee pictured did not
greet me or ask any questions even though I
walked by 4 times.
-The customers present definitely came in to
purchase clothing. There is absolutely no
customer service present so many customers
are merely looking through racks for clothing
that fits their style. I did notice that many
customers started on the right of the store and
made their way around in a counter clockwise
direction till they reached the cash registers.
-All the products are placed on racks or plain
shelves. Clothing is organized by size and style.
Brands are mixed and your forced to search
through many racks just to find something you
may like. The store can definitely benefit form a
good cleaning from the floors to the walls.
More employees with adequate training would
also help improve the store.
-Rubios was definitely inviting, clean,
and well maintained. The bright colors
and lighting put me in a good mood.
There was only one employee but she
was friendly and provided everything I
needed for a pleasant meal.
-Overall the Rubios restaurant was
inviting and the menu included a
variety of items for all tastes. The
menu is nicely laid out and all pricing
was visible.- The tables are pretty basic
and for it being lunch hour
it was pretty empty. Just
one customer and two
delivery drivers.
-I truly appreciated the salsa
bar and the different
condiments for your food.
The entire establishment
was inviting.
-Sally’s is definitely a one stop shop for all your
beauty product needs. The store was brightly lit
and made all of the various products easily visible. I
was truly shocked and overwhelmed by the amount
of products offered by Sally’s. Even with the
abundance of products they managed to keep them
neatly organized by small departments.
-There were two
towers located at the
front of the store with
specialty items and
newly clearanced
items.
-There was one
employee on duty and
she was on top of it.
Greeted all customers
and helped us one by
one in order.
-Even with the plethora of products the I was able
to find what I needed with the help of the
responsive and friendly staff. Overall the music and
upbeat attitude of the store really made it a
comfortable shopping experience.
-Ive shopped for paint at this Dunn Edwards in the
past and have always been confused as to the
layout. When you first walk in there is wide open
space with no visible items located directly at the
entrance.
-Buckets of paint are neatly stacked and ready for
mixing if need be. The orange and grey accents
throughout the store are nicely placed to make the
store appealing. There was an isle with a specific
section for sale items which were clearly marked
with a bright red sign.
-There were 2 employees who were both helping
customers and one even greeted me as I walked in.
Overall it was a friendly environment and well
organized.
-Ive been to this Food 4 Less many times
and one of the things that really shocked
me was how dirty it was compared to the
Stater Bros. right down the road. The items
are properly stocked and the lighting in the
store does making it appealing, but the dirt
on the floors and dust on shelves definitely
brought its status down.
- Observing employees made it
clear why the store was
suffering. The gentlemen above
was on his phone for almost 5
minutes in the middle of the
aisle. I had asked for a particular
item and he sent me to the
wrong aisle as well.
-These items by the register
always get me and the variety
only makes it easier to purchase
more than one item. They are
priced and easily accessible for
customers.
-Target was a very clean and
well organized store. Right when
you walk in there is a water
display of various labels. Which
is very smart considering we are
averaging 100 degree weather.
Unfortunately there werent
many employees working the
floor which made it hard to have
questions about merchandise
answered.
-Products are well organized
by departments and all prices
are clearly marked. One thing
ive never noticed in the past
was the corner of the store
and how it changes with the
seasons. Right now it was set
up for back to school.
-The customers in the store
mostly consisted of familys.
A lot of mothers and fathers
with their children
purhcasing various
household items. I was
actually shocked at how
many people see target as a
family excursion.
