3D printing in architecture has great benefits:
Precision when making a model.
Visualize designs physically.
Printing is done autonomously, thus reducing working
time.
Increase the materials with which to make the
designs.
Edit the design several times and reuse the used
material.
Reduced cost on prints.
Create complex pieces and more freedom in design.
Types and materials of
3D printing
To carry out designs in architecture, different
techniques are used such as:
-Fused filament deposition printing (FDM).
-Printing by laser sintering (SLS).
-Stereolithography printing (SLA).
-Different materials are used, such as:
Wood,Plastic,Resin or Liquid materials.
With 3d printing you can even make real houses
with concrete, cement or materials typical of a
house.
Food
• The use of 3D printers have brought benefits to all food
industries, to lower prices and develop new dishes.
• The use of the printer is mainly layer by layer until the food is
achieved, but the material used is only food, mainly hummus,
pasta, fruits or chocolate.
• It can be used at low or high temperatures.
• In the future these printers will be able to replace the
microwave to prepare our own food, making it healthier and
saving time.
Applications
• The sectors where these printers are most
used are:
• Restaurants: Both restaurant chains and
Michelin Stars make use of this system to
replace labor and create new shapes and
flavors.
• Hotels: To print food, such as cookies, with
your logo and give them to customers, thus
revaluing your business.
• Hospitals: Reshaping their dishes and
preparing food for each diet more quickly.
• Cake shop: to create new shapes of cakes to
suit customers, especially in decoration.
Medicine
• Thanks to these 3d prints, great strides
have been made in medicine to improve
people's lives.
-Facilitate diagnoses with more accurate
tests.
-Simulate and plan surgeries.
-Elaboration of prostheses of any part of the
body, facials, bionic arms, sternum, cranial,
dental pieces

and make the work of astronauts easier.

create any type of part in 3D. From medical
supplies to spare parts for satellites. Its
purpose in being able to use materials from
space such as lunar dust.
• Research continues in this field to create
much larger and more complex structures
such as telecommunication antennas or
telescopes in space.
