I worked on Interim Assignments, Project Management, trading and training. The training subjects trained
included Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, 5S, Continuous Improvement & TS16949;
Selected Contributions:
 Purchased scaffolding & construction products in China for sale in the European market;
 Employed as Project Director for a UK sealing company to build a new facility in China & consolidate
two existing facilities into a newly registered company (1 year), the project was a £6,000,000 project
which involved construction, decoration, installation of facilities, the move of 18 existing machines &
the purchase an installation of 7 bevel & grooving machines & 4 laser cutting machines;
 This project was completed 4 months early & £300,000 under budget;
 Interim President of a high-end furniture factory in Shanghai (6 months) + a number of other short-
term assignments in China & the UK;

Held P&L and sales performance responsibility for joint venture between Swiss, Japanese, Chinese and
Taiwanese enterprises with annual turnover of £27M and EBIT of 25%.
Oversaw cross-cultural factory team of 360+ executive officers, managers, and direct workers across several
sites, capitalizing on strong understanding of cultural sensitivities to develop environment that promotes

 Through the setting of KPI’s & targets, drove efficiency improvements that captured 7% EBIT

 Championed lean manufacturing, training, and projects; led teams investigating methods to achieve
scrap reduction, yield improvement, OEE & preventative maintenance improvements, triggering
annual cost savings of £700K;
 Localised purchasing, reducing working capital by £2.5M / annum and saving £1.2M in freight &
customs clearance fees and improved our delivery time from 7 days to 3;
 Developed new carpet business, which enabled sales from to grow from £22M to £27M;

£30M+ turnover for AGFA (European company with annual sales of £3.6B+).
Restructured management team to improve situational leadership and align collaborations to meet new
business needs, and guided staff from start-up to achieve profitability. Developed and promoted company
goals, and trained Executive Management team in 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing principles.
Created KPIs for all major processes; ensured achievement of all targets through in-depth training.
Selected Contributions:
 Implemented KPI’s and targets achieving a 46% increase in factory output within one year with no
additional headcount; developed plan to generate additional 100% increase over two-year period.
 Managed internal and 3PL warehouse to achieve on time delivery of 98.8% & inventory turns
(sales/inventory) of 18 (due to the complexity of the product range);
 Led the successful implementation of SAP from concept to full implementation over a nine month
period, involved in all aspects of the project;

£1.35M loss into a £1.8M profit;
