2. Introduction of Night Terror.
• Night terror is a parasomnia disorder (for those who have unnatural movement, emotion,
behaviours, etc) that described with an intense terror also a temporary failure to have a full
of consciousness.
• This is however one of the sleep stages which is the slow-wave sleep, often referred as “deep
sleep”. It can cause difficulties of awakening, for example by a sound of a particular volume
therefore are observed in deep sleep. This phenomenon has been called "sleep inertia“ -
tendency of a person that want to go to sleep.
• This kind of manner can cause by gasping, moaning, screaming while waking, accompanied
by intense anxiety, confusion, confrontation, unresponsiveness and total loss of memory
concerning the event. It’s repeatedly not possible to wake up the person completely because
they are so intense on being awake, as well as after the episode the subject normally settles
back to sleep without waking.
3. Information of Night Terror.
• Unexpected awakening from sleep, constant fear or terror that happens at night (from
screaming, sweating, confusion, rapid heart rate, inability to explain what happened, usually
no remind of "bad dreams" or nightmares) may have a unclear sense of frightening figures.
Many people see spiders, snakes, animals or people in the room, are unable to fully awake,
difficult to comfort, with no memory of the event on awakening the next day.
• Nightmares occur during the dream phase of sleep. The circumstances of the nightmare will
terrify the sleeper, who usually will wake up with a glowing memory of a long movie-like
dream. Night terrors, on the other hand, can happen during a phase of deep non-REM sleep
usually within an hour after the subject goes to bed. This is also known as stage 4. During a
night terror, which may last anywhere from five to twenty minutes, the person is still asleep,
however the sleepers eyes may be open. When the subject does wake up, they usually have
no memory of the period other than a sense of fear. This, however, is not always the case.
Quite a few people talked can remember sections of the night terror, and some remember
the whole thing, which it’s quite interesting.
4. Facts on Night Terror!!! :S
• A child's scream breaks the silence of the night. As the parent runs into the room and attempts to
comfort the child, the child begins to fight the parent off, kicking, screaming, yelling and biting. This
horrific picture occurs in about 200,000 homes in the United States each night. What is it that makes
these children act out in such a manner? It is a common sleeping disorder called "sleep terrors."
According to the National Sleep Foundation, about 38 percent of all children will experience a period
in which sleep terrors occur. But why? And what can a parent do? According to Mosby's Medical,
Nursing and Allied Health Dictionary, sleep terrors are "characterized by repeated episodes of abrupt
awakening, usually with a panicky scream, accompanied by intense anxiety, confusion, agitation,
disorientation, unresponsiveness, marked motor movements and total amnesia concerning the
event.“
• The disorder is most usually seen in children between the ages of 2 and 12, is more common in boys
than girls and has a wide variable of frequency.

5. Video of Night Terror!!!!! :S :S

These people in the video are those who’ve been suffered with Night
Terror, which this shows how they react/behaviour badly when they have
night terror while they’re asleep. It was shocking and alarmed to me how
people have this kind of disorder in their life especially whenever it comes
to sleep at night.
