Started on the Duvha Power Station Refurbishment Project in March 2010 as a Senior Buyer.
Involvedinthe enquiriesandnegotiationsforthe upgradingof the Control andInstrumentation part
of the works. A portion of the >R10bn contracts were placed by the time I left in December 2011.
Invited to join the billion rand Arnot Power Station Capacity Increase Project December 2008 as
Acting Procurement Manager in the Construction Execution Department. Involved in the
managementandprocurementof all openandnew contracts,including significant modifications to
most contracts. Supported Finance with the expediting of invoices and the Project Team with the
management of contracts that were mostly multi-currency.
Senior Buyer at Komati Power Station commencing October 2005. Responsibilities included
purchase of capital equipment,stock- andnon-stockitems,highvalue contract buying involving the
handling of forward cover, negotiations, site meetings, issuing and evaluation of tenders, report
writing to various Tender Committees and supported the Project Managers after contracts were
placed. Won a Manager's Award for excellent customer service and also nominated for others.

Workedat Eskom onvarious Generation sites. Involvedinthe contract strategy phase, compiling of
enquiry documents, squad checks, issuing of enquiries, arranging site meetings, receiving and
evaluationof tenders,reportwritingtothe varioustendercommitteesandplacement of orders and
contracts. Also involved in Project Buying and Shut-downs.
