3. NEWTONIAN MECHANICS &
ESCAPE VELOCITY
F = GMm/r^2
v^2 = u^2+2gr
F = mg = GMm/r^2
OR, g = GM/r^2
NOW, v^2 = 0^2+2(GM/r^2)r
v^2 = 2GM/r
v = √(2GM/r)
4. CAPTURING THE LIGHT AND SCHWARZSCHILD RADIUS:
A PROOF OF GENERAL RELATIVITY
Karl Schwarzschild was a German military personal and a physicist. He published a
special proof of General Relativity during first world war. Even Einstein was astonished
seeing his proof. This great physicist died in a severe disease, in his battleground. His
proof is about a radius where light can’t pass through. This radius called ‘Schwarzschild
Radius’
5. CHANDRASEKHAR LIMIT &
THE LIFE CYCLE OF STAR:
Subrahmanyam Chandrasekhar Was an Indian-
American astrophysicist. He was awarded the 1983
Nobel Prize for Physics with William A.Fowler for ‘the
theorical studies of the physical processes of
importance of the structure and evolution of the
stars’. His main work described as ‘Chandrasekhar
Limit’. It says about the evolution of a blackhole and
he theoretically proved that not every star can’t
become blackhole although his mathematics was
wrong cause he didn’t have accurate data to
measure!
