Hi! My name is Emanuel, I am Colombian, I am twelve years old and I am a student. I love playing video games
and reading in my free time; I play video games twice a week and I read every day. What do you do in your
free time? I eat a balanced diet that includes fruit and vegetables. I avoid sugar and I drink lots of water. I do
not eat fast food. Do you eat fruit and vegetables? I do exercise three times a week; exercise can help you
control your weight and reduce stress. I sleep eight hours every night. Do you sleep well? I wash my hair
regularly, brush my teeth three times a day and keep my nails short and clean. I always keep in touch with my
family and friends, listen to their problems and help them when they need me.
7. Write a text about your habits and hand it to your teacher. It must have cohesion and coherence, proper use
of capitalization and punctuation, and include a headline, at least a negative and an interrogative sentence.
E.g.: “I do not eat fast food” and “do you eat fruit and vegetables?” and:
a. A greeting, e.g. Hi!
b. Your name, e.g. my name is Emanuel.
c. Your nationality, e.g. I am Colombian.
d. Your age, e.g.: I am twelve.
e. Your occupation, e.g. I am a student.
f. Free time activities and frequency, e.g. I do exercise.
g. Body care (food, hygiene and rest), e.g.. I eat fruits and vegetables, brush my teeth and sleep well.
h. Taking care of others, e.g. I keep in touch with my family and friends.
i. Frequency adverbs, e.g. always, sometimes, often, never, once a week, twice a week, three times a week,
every day, every night, three times a day, etc.
8. Compare your habits with your teammates’. Then, write a ten line text about your team habits and hand it to
your teacher.
9. Do an oral presentation about your team habits. You must:
a. Use ICTs, e.g. audio with especial effects, animation, video, prezzy, story bird, etc. Power Point
presentations are not allowed.
b. Greet formally, e.g. Good morning, good afternoon, etc.
c. Introduce yourselves formally, e.g. let us introduce ourselves; our names are…, etc.
d. Make transitions between the readers, e.g. one of the members of the group can ask the questions and
the others can answer them, thank the student who previously talked or ask questions as: is it clear?, do
you have any questions?, etc.
e. Use a proper tone of voice, project your voice, make pauses based on the punctuation on the written
report, breath, keep visual contact with the audience, change your position during the presentation, use
your body language appropriately and strategically.
f. Ask the audience if there are comments or suggestions and thank them, e.g. do you have any questions,
comments or suggestions?, Thank you very much for listening, etc.
g. Use the app VoxDox to practice pronunciation.
h. Learn your lines; reading is not allowed.

I eat fruits and vegetables, brush my teeth and sleep well. h. Taking care of others, e.g. I keep in touch with my family and friends. i. Frequency adverbs, e.g. always, sometimes, often, never, once a week, twice a week, three times a week, every day, every night, three times a day, etc. 8. Compare your habits with your teammates’. Then, write a ten line text about your team habits and hand it to your teacher. 9. Do an oral presentation about your team habits. You must: a. Use ICTs, e.g. audio with especial effects, animation, video, prezzy, story bird, etc. Power Point presentations are not allowed. b. Greet formally, e.g. Good morning, good afternoon, etc. c. Introduce yourselves formally, e.g. let us introduce ourselves; our names are…, etc. d. Make transitions between the readers, e.g. one of the members of the group can ask the questions and the others can answer them, thank the student who previously talked or ask questions as: is it clear?, do you have any questions?, etc. e. Use a proper tone of voice, project your voice, make pauses based on the punctuation on the written report, breath, keep visual contact with the audience, change your position during the presentation, use your body language appropriately and strategically. f.
