Historical Legacy
The walled garden can be found close to
the historic village of Grappenhall in South
Warrington. A wealthy banker, Thomas
Parr, established his home and estate at
Grappenhall Heys around 1830. After a
turbulent period of demise,the walled
garden was saved and transformed back
to its original glory. Today, the attractive
pleasure garden,kitchen garden and eight
Victorian glasshouses provide a tranquil
setting and all year round events for all ages.
A Family Experience
With four acres to explore, the walled garden
is an idyllic place to spend quality time with
family.
• Enjoy a family walk or nature trail and meet
the resident birdlife,bees and bugs.
• Explore the produce growing in the
glasshouses and Victorian kitchen garden.
• Bring along a picnic to relax.
• Join in a family event.
