Staff recruitment policy
The Head Teacher will have responsibility for ensuring the safe recruitment of staff working in
Stronsay Junior High School, and all recruitment procedures will follow OIC Protocols. This
includes, advertisement of posts, interviewing and handling of references and checks. All
documentation relating to recruitment is kept within the OIC Personnel department.
All staff that regularly work and cover for absences within the nursery are required to be
members of the SCCC scheme.
All regular volunteers to the nursery will undergo PVG checks. Volunteers and staff will all take
part in the Nursery Induction Scheme. This covers housekeeping matters, confidentiality of
