Dear Sir / Madam
My husband has a 402 visiting research fellowship visa with the University of New South Wales
which I am included on. This allows me to work full time. I have taken one year leave from my
current employment with the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom. Therefore, I
am available to commence work with immediate effect. I am looking forward to learning new tasks
and delivering experienced administration skills in a new working environment here is Sydney.
I am part of a joint management team for NHS South Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group and
NHS Vale Royal CCG, and I will return to work with them on the 1 September 2017. I have
extensive experience in providing support to our Director and Operations and Systems
Management Team. The following is an example of how I dealt with an unannounced visit from
the Care Quality Commission:
We had an unannounced safeguarding and looked after children Care Quality Commission (CQC)
Inspection between the 4 July and the 8 July 2016. The Designated Safeguarding Children Nurse
(DSCN) Moira McGrath made the request to our Chief Executive to have me as the sole
administrator while they completed their extrinsic audit. My workload plan consisted of:
Completing all the tasks set out on my crib sheet. We were informed on Thursday 30 June
2016, and I disseminated this information to everyone including all our stakeholders on
behalf of the DSCN. I set up prep meetings and venues, and kept everyone up to date with
the process.
The managers that I usually worked for was given an explanation as to why this work had to
take priority, but that I would complete their tasks or if need be pass them on to another
colleague if it was urgent for them.
On the Friday 1 July 2016, the CQC gave their itinerary template to be completed which I
collated from our providers and returned back to him on the same day.
All evidence from our providers was filed in order and numbered, also sent to the CQC
inspector on the same day in preparation of their inspection.
2. Moira and I received thanks on several occasions from: The CQC inspector, Directors from
our providers which included the Local Authority (Government) and our organisation, and
all the Chief Executives for all our professional hard work in a timely fashion.
In April 2016 I was nominated by two managers and one Doctor for the staff recognition award. I
was presented the award at our organisation team brief by our Chief Executive Simon Whitehouse.
I am very confident that the significant skills that I have would benefit your company, and I would
be very grateful if you could consider my application for the position.
Looking forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Yours sincerely
Liz
