2. Văleni – Dâmbovița is one of the
most picturesque place in our county.
Between the wooded hills on the west
side at Arges’ border, the habits and
traditions inherited from our ancestors
are still alive .
Our daily life is consumed between
working in the orchard and livestock
(nurturing animals). We are proud that
we produce a special type of liquor,
apple brandy, a delicacy with whom we
treat our guests.
Văleni has its tradition in brandy
production since 2003.
100% natural product obtained by
apples’ fermentation, by its own
method.
The natural color is obtained by
aging, aged in Romanian oak barrels.

the activity of this company are engaged fruit growers,

this wonderful drink.
4. Chindia is the name of an
alcoholic beverage, brandy
type, distilled from apples.
The brandy obtained is leaved at
aging in oak barrels.
5. If you like liquor or if you simply do not have other
plans for this Saturday, you are welcomed to Valeni,
village located at 42 kilometers from Targoviste, which
is preparing for the third edition of The Brandy
Festival. The organizators promise that there will be
cheerfulness, music and dancing. They will wait you
with the glasses full, goulash and other goodies.
6. The brandy goes also through the second boiling, not just one, as it was done in the
former kingdom. In this way the brandy becomes stronger, it makes beads when you
shake the glass, but the quantity is smaller..
The apples go first in the boiler (which is on
fire). The fire must be slow, as if you do apple jam.
When alcohol begins to evaporate, it condenses in
cooler and gives out vodka which is dripping slightly.
When is done with the
apples, it is the measurement
in degrees of the gathered
vodka. In our case, the vodka
had 28 degrees and we went
to the second round of
boiling, in order to obtain the
brandy. This is measured
again so that it has 52
degrees. Add water if needed
and then is ready!
