Editor's Notes

  1. Our target audience is females aged 12-20. It appeals to teenagers as the film is set in a school which most teenagers can relate to or have experienced before. The film appeals to females more than males as girls are more likely to gossip and talk about what happens at school, demonstrated in our film.
  2. Our opening scene is set in a secondary school. This appeals to our demographic as it is a relatable environment for teenagers. It shows the school corridors and lockers which immediately lets the audience know the characters are in a school. Throughout the film this is the main setting however, there are also scenes in the characters house, this is also a relatable place for our demographic.
  3. For our production company logo we decided on the name Skyward Studios this is because the name connotes that we are striving to be the best and what to succeed in the film industry. We also decided to use a gold coloured font to suggest that we are the best and a gold coloured star to connote that we use famous and successful actors. Furthermore the background is of a sky and suggests that our production company is above the rest.
  4. The main plot outline of our film is that a new student called Megan was involved in a car crash which caused her best friend to die at her old school and she was at fault. She then moves and starts fresh at another school. In this school the other students make up rumours about her as she is quite a quiet and vulnerable character due to her past and secrets. Megan then gets into a situation where she gets overheard when she is talking to a teacher about her past. This is a vague idea of our plot, it is not finished however these ideas are roughly what the narrative will be like.
