To Whom It May Concern:
I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Debra Meidl for sixteen years while I
taught at St. Michael Catholic School. Debra is the colleague that everyone turns to for
leadership and direction. Her commitment to our children, school, and parish is evident
in everything she does. Her willingness to take on projects is admirable, and she
continually goes above and beyond the required work.
Debra has created a media center that is always a welcoming environment, and
students responded in a positive manner to her lessons and behavioral expectations.
Her leadership with the school book fairs was a true testament of her ability to plan,
implement, and work with parents and students of all ages to run a successful program
that brought in thousands of dollars and books for our school. The amount of money and
books that Debra generates for the children is one of the most successful in the state.
Debra is a life long learner herself and engages in numerous professional growth
opportunities. Communication with students, parents, colleagues, and administration is
a priority for Debra. The environment she creates for the school community is one of
learning, acceptance, respect, and support. Debra is willing to challenge herself and her
students to find a new way to look at things and to create a learning environment that
fosters critical thinking.
Debra’s presence as a member of the staff is a blessing. Debra strives to make St.
Michael school a great place to learn and grow. Debra is an integral part of the St.
Michael School staff. Her eagerness to share fresh ideas and participate in staff
development adds greatly to the school community.
