Small, standardized measures of things like bodyweight or quality of life could serve as building blocks to help harmonize studies, catalogs, and biobanks if various groups can agree on them. If this is possible, organizers would need to determine how to structure the effort and what key decisions need to be made, such as which standardized measures to use. The document suggests that establishing common standards could facilitate integration of data from different sources.
