Jimmy Lustig | How to Be a Leader in Your Community
Reference letter - Linda Hill, Mayor Foxx
1. January 14, 2013
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to provide a professional reference for Linda F. Hill. Linda represented the city of
Charlotte as the Office Manager/Executive Administrator for the non-partisan 2012 Democratic
National Convention Host Committee. In this capacity, she planned, implemented and managed
the office operations for the 2012 Democratic National Convention Host Committee. Linda was
on the front line of communications with delegates, donors, volunteers and visitors to the city of
Charlotte during the convention planning season. She worked tirelessly to cultivate a successful
relationship with our Democratic National Convention Committee partners, vendors and
community liaisons. Linda consistently represented the Host Committee professionally and
contributed greatly to the favorable impressions left on guests visiting our city for the
convention.
During the convention planning season I personally interacted with Linda. She demonstrated a
positive attitude and followed up consistently to ensure all inquiries and concerns were addressed
in a timely manner. Linda is accustomed to being privy to highly confidential materials and
understands the importance of confidentiality. She is a team player and looks for opportunities
to meet the goals while seeking ways to improve the process.
I recommend Linda Hill to fill any position for Administration/Executive Support. I believe
Linda will be a significant asset to any team, if given the opportunity. Please contact my
assistant, Tracy Montross at tmontross@charlottenc.gov or 704/336-4332 should you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
Anthony R. Foxx
