expertise and experience. I am born and raised in Alberta but recently returning after years working
internationally. I am currently employed by an international school in Muscat, Oman.

the lead for creating curriculum based on modules for workplace success that founded our reputation
in the city as the only place to go for authentic and useful language learning. I have a good, steady
rapport with people and have excellent communication skills. I enjoy working in a team environment
and thrive on the challenge of ensuring customer satisfaction.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss with you further my qualifications that would fit well with the
position advertised or with another position that you may feel better suited. I can be reached by
phone at (968) 790 489 29. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing

Laurie Roberts has been an associate of mine for five years. During that time she has
also become a dependable friend. You can count on Laurie to advocate for young people
while helping them make wise choices about their future. I’ve seen Laurie operate as an
educator, parent and administrator and she surpasses expectations in each area.
Laurie is someone I would love to have mentor my own children or the children and
case workers I consult in the Ministry of Social Services in Saskatchewan. In fact, when
Laurie was managing her education program in Mexico, I took my son down to see the
work she was doing. I also invited a number of other people to come and see the work
of Laurie and her staff.
If you have the chance to work with Laurie or to have her work with your staff and
students, I would suggest jumping at it. She is of the highest integrity and committed to
what is best for every person— child and youth alike.
Sincerely,
Jerry Goebel, MBA, D.Min

To whom it may concern:
I highly recommend Ms. Laurie Roberts as a candidate for employment.
I confirm that I have known Laurie for over30 years. We first began our relationship
as young moms, in a local church setting. Our relationship has continued since that
time, and I can attest that Laurie is trustworthy, dependable, hardworking,
conscientious, honest, and courteous.
Next to Laurie’s commitment to integrity, I can attest that one of her exemplary
qualities is commitment to compassionate justice. Laurie has proven tobe a
passionate change-maker, one who is not afraid to step out and do hard things. Laurie
does not shy away from difficult circumstances or hard work. Her energetic passion
and focused work ethic make her an excellent candidate for any project of ethical
purpose.
Added to her excellent portfolio, is the fact that Laurie is a professional teacher,
6
language facilitator, and entrepreneur. Laurie works well independently and has what
it takes to follow through to ensure a job gets done in a timely fashion.
She has excellent communication skills, is extremely organized, and is computer
literate.
Laurie would be a tremendous asset for your company and/orvision and has my
highest recommendation. If you have any further questions with regard to her
background orqualifications, please do not hesitate to call me.
Sincerely,
Bonnie Ragan; B Ed

To whom it may concern:
I have worked with Laurie Roberts in various capacities over the last 10 years. I first
worked for her as a teacher for her large private language school in Mexico which she
built from the bottom up. I then worked with her to build another private language
school based on the same sound educational principles as her first school. As a teacher
for over 20 years, I highly respect Laurie and her experience in business and education.
In all of the situations I have known her, Laurie’s ability to lead and build a team under
her was exemplary. Her high standards and capacity to mentor was evident. Most
importantly, her servant leadership inspired me to become better at my craft and
professionalismas a teacher and business partner.
Laurie’s goal was always to build a productive and enjoyable atmosphere at the schools
where both clients and staff felt listened to and cared for. She continually strove to
support and see each client and staff member reach their potential.
Laurie was able to work in various roles as she oversaw all areas of the school and its
role in the community. Her experience and knowledge was a great asset to both the
school and the community around it.
7
I would recommend Laurie as an expert in both business and education. She would be
an asset in any endeavor she takes on. I would certainly work with her again if the
opportunity arose.
I would be happy to provide further information if required.
Sincerely,
Beverly Leavitt
