2. Basic Information
Target Age group: 5th grade science class
Lesson Plan: https://exchange.smarttech-prod.com/preview/549f0e41-30f0-4cbb-a832-583548395fea
The lesson plan is to teach the students how to use the scientific method in order to conduct an
experiment. Using the smartboard students will be able to actively participate by writing in their own
questions and moving around the parts of the scientific method to get them into the correct order.
Students will also be able to check over their work after the experiment to see whether or not their
hypothesis was correct.
3. Actively Learning The
Scientific Method
Using a graphic like this students will be able to
Come to the front of the room and move the parts
Of the method into the correct order.
Than they will be able to come up with their own
Scientific question and fill in their own scientific Method process.
4. Universal Design
Smart exchange and the use of smart boards in the classroom is vital to helping
teachers utilize universal design in the classroom. In this case they aid in creativity
and active participation, this is helpful for students of all learning levels. Students who
may have issues staying focused will be engaged and those who need to be
challenged can come up with their own scientific question that fits their skill level. And
the best part is that if a mistake in the scientific method is made on the smart board it
can be rearranged to correct it and students can learn from where it went wrong.
