2. The NewTeen Space
The Bismarck Library foundation has been working hard to raise the money for
our newTeen Center. The fundraising goal was set at $350,000.The community
responded and saw the growing need for a space just for middle and high school
students – they raised $430,000!Work has been underway and we are set for a
late November 2016 opening.
We worked with local teens from all of the schools to design and furnish a space
that would be functional and fun for teens in the Bismarck Mandan area.We are
looking to be both a homework hotspot and a recreational resource.

7. Booths and work
desk
The students we worked with stressed the need for
restaurant style booths for group work or just hanging
out with friends. We listened and purchased two
booths.
There is a work desk in the corner with full view of the
space. This will be used by staff and volunteers who
are working and available for help and checkout of
tech materials to students.
