Lived the American dream by establishing, owning and
operating a rare independent restaurant in suburban
Portland.
Guided partners, bankers, designers, builders and
vendors to develop a beautiful and functional
restaurant.
Built revenue to over one million annually, serving
lunch and dinner six days a week.
Created signature events such as a “Drive-in Movie”
night for our yearly anniversary celebration, which
converted the parking lot into an actual movie
theater, and “Country Specials” which allowed us to
travel the globe with the menu.

Guided performance in all areas of this 354 suite, business-class, full-service hotel. Prepared annual
budget and capital plans. Performed market segment analysis and aligned proper rate strategies.
Hired, trained and oversaw department heads. Supervised daily operations of the hotel’s 180
employees, two food outlets and 15,000 square feet of high-volume meeting space. Planned,
implemented and trained staff on numerous equipment upgrades and installs.
Results included the chain’s highest performance in Customer Service, Problem Resolution and
Product Quality – top 10 for several years among 150 hotels.
Two years we achieved highest single hotel revenue and NOI contributing 20% of the company's
total bottom line amongst 15 hotels.

Lived on-site of 180 unit, full-service senior care facility. Restructured accounting and leasing
operations while leading kitchen, housekeeping and maintenance to better cost controls.
Supervised 5-employee accounting department responsible for all financial functions of 435 room full-
service business-class hotel. Performed month and year-end closings. Coordinated directly with
department heads to administer hotel controls.
Began as a front desk clerk but learned the entire hotel, was promoted multiple times and within
three years was asked to help in new property acquisitions.
As a result of the ’89 San Francisco Earthquake ran hotel without power during 24 hour blackout.
Within 3 months of transferring to accounting, reduced and maintained past due Accounts
Receivable to lowest levels (95% current and 30).

Executed the club’s most successful and exciting fundraiser with tie-in to private screening of latest
Star Wars film.

Promote the sport of fencing in Oregon through tournaments and club relations.
Currently leading project to foster cooperation between clubs in Oregon, Washington, Idaho,
