in volume of payroll overpayments and underpayments. Enabled outsourcing team to provide comprehensive answers
and assistance to employees. Received two national awards for outstanding performance during the transition.
• Conducted a six-month audit of a high profile company’s inefficient COBRA administration program. Analyzed
massive database content as well as practices and pricing of 30 insurance industry vendors. Proposed a rigorous
monthly self-audit of all databases. RESULTS: Generated $2 million in initial savings with projected five-year
savings of $5 million. Received corporate-level award for achieving success above and beyond the call of duty.
• Programmed a COBRA EAS database program to automatically generate required letters to COBRA participants.
Conducted inaugural corporate-wide enrollment of COBRA benefits after historical use of a third party resource.
Designed and initiated electronic forms used to notify vendors of new COBRA participants and of participant record
changes. RESULTS: In-house operation and automation decreased notification time from three days to 15 minutes
while reducing risk on regulatory non-compliance on a critical ongoing program.
• Led employee security operations for a large defense organization. Supervised a staff of six. Managed complex
scheduling of 7,000 personnel security interviews annually. Conducted training on multiple topics. Scheduled and
coordinated employee physical exams and documentation for 15,000 personnel assignments. RESULTS: Ensured
sufficient number of employees to fill highly sensitive and special assignments. Led staff to exceed on-the-job training
goals.
• Co-created a software application used to track information obtained during sensitive skills interviews. Utilized new
program to produce monthly and annual reports highlighting essential recaps with graphs. RESULTS: Reduced time
required to complete reports by 90%, facilitating timely decision making.
