United Technologies – Aerospace Systems
Troy, OH • July 2014 – Present
One of the largest aerospace systems companies in the world, producing a portfolio of products for key aerospace
companies such as Boeing and Airbus helping to shape the future of flight. Joined company during integration of
the Landing Gears and Wheels & Brakes business units. Involved in consolidating systems and benchmarking to
implement best practices across both business units creating synergies during a period of great change within the
company.
Commodity Manager – August 2015 - Present
Prepares presentations for senior management by incorporating new and existing reports along with analysis of
business trends for United Technologies $1 billion dollar Landing Systems segment. Supported the development
of key suppliers critical to future business success. Formulated supplier strategy to grow, maintain, or exit key
suppliers based on delivery and quality performance. Helped identify systemic root causes on issues and
implement corrective actions ensuring on time delivery of parts to support key program deliveries to customers.
• Manage long term strategy for $40 million of supplier business. Negotia ted key LTA’s, securin g favorable
pricing for increase d profita bility and nega tion of headwin ds. Sourced and award ed key business on new
progra m s.
• Performed analysis and executed work transfer which resulted in $600k annualized savings over a 5 year
contract.
• Completed ACE certification coursework attending multiple Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping events to
improve and fix multiple processes throughout the business.
Business Analyst – Supply Chain – October 2014 – August 2015
Responsible for conducting analysis on $1 billion in supplier spend. Ad hoc reporting that supported both internal
and external customers. Prepared monthly business unit report that was reported up to the Vice President covering
key area’s such as on time delivery, quality, budget, cost savings, long term agreements, non-product savings,
supplier strategy, inventory and other key business metrics.
• Programmed and built automated business objects reports that utilized new metrics and began
mailing to the entire organization daily. Resulted in 7% increase in on time delivery and overdue line
reduction of 50%.
• Implemented key systems such as a supplier scorecard that reported key monthly metrics directly to supply
base. Standardized reporting between both business units after the integration.
• Supported corporate initiative to roll out and train users on IBM Spend Analytics software package. Became
a super user helping to debug, provide training, and educate users.
SAP Analyst / Buyer – July 2014 – October 2014
Identified and implementing corrective actions for incorrect system setups in SAP. Managed the resulting orders
identified during the transition period until the system issues could be fixed.
• Identified major issue in SAP where parts were being assigned to people no longer with the company
providing no visibility for orders with long lead time parts. Negated $5 million in customer delivery
misses.
• Placed and managed $1.6 million in orders for the duration of resolving the system issues. Worked with
suppliers to pull in orders, push out orders, and resolve any delivery issues.
• Implemented preventative actions and a new process with various groups across the business to stop issue
from reoccurring.
