the university of Gottingen,

at that time.

 Oliva Sabuco was born on December 2, 1562
in Albacete (Spain) and she died in 1645, 83
years old.
 Her father worked as apothecary.
 She studied in Albacete when she was a
child. Later she learnt Biology and Botany
with her father´s help.

 Her most important work
was: New Philosophy of
Nature of human being,
published in 1587.

32.  It was formed by five agreements:
 Two of them scientific – philosophical and the
others about medicine.
 In it, Oliva argues that the main trouble with
Medicine, is its detachment from Philosophy,
and its ignorance of the disposition of human
nature .

 In the will of her father, he declares equally to
be the author of the " New Philosophy " where
it puts for authoress Oliva, his daughter, " only
for giving the name and the honor “.
 Nowadays it is not known by certainty who is
the author of the book.
