2. It’s all about the details
In Seattle at a little, old church in the heart of the city, I stood towards the front of by
the alter with the rest of the bridal party for our friend’s wedding. As I watched her walk
down the aisle, a friend turned to me and taught me to always keep an eye on the groom
as he first sees his bride. Often neglected at that moment, the groom expresses such pure
emotion! From that day forward, it has been one of my favorite moments during a wedding:
I love watching the couple see each other for the first time! The pure optimism. The sheer
bliss of knowing that this moment means that today is forever. The unique love they hold for
each other. The beauty – both inside and out – that are absolutely illuminated at that point.
It is that exact moment that is one of the most inspiring for me and the reason I continually
want to work with engaged couples week after week.
I appreciate more than ever how each wedding has such a unique love story. And, if there
is one thing I love, it is love stories. We love to hear how you met, what your shared
experiences and hobbies are, and what you hope for in the future together. It is from these
conversations that we are able to craft little details, unique to the two of you, to implement
on your wedding day. Truly, we believe in the details because details make your wedding
uniquely about you.

Getting Started
5. Feeling the Love
“Everything you did and helped us with was amazing, seriously. We always left your meetings
feeling so good about the wedding, and when I panicked about things, you made them okay.
You went above and beyond what anyone else did to ensure that our day was the greatest day
of our lives. My parents have said that you were, hands down, the best money spent on the
wedding!”
Laura, bride
“Thank you so much! Everything was exquisite and appeared to our guests to be effortless and
seamless. Only you and I know how much planning and work went into making it Mariella &
Criag’s perfect wedding day! The wedding flowed effortlessly and the timing was perfect—
never rushed, but no waiting around! Again, thank you!”
Ellen, MOB
“Just wanted to THANK YOU again for the amazing job you did with our wedding! Mike and I
were talking on Sunday and both agreed that you went above and beyond. You had everything
under control, and it definitely made us feel better knowing that you were ‘in charge’. We have
nothing but wonderful things to say about you! Thanks again for everything!”
Amy, bride
“Jenny and Karla were a breath of fresh air to work with. I hired them late and they quickly
came up to speed on every last detail and helped us to figure out those decisions that we
hadn’t yet made or had forgotten about. Karla adapted the schedule as needed as some things
took longer than planned. I’m not sure what I would have done without them!”

7. Frequently Asked Questions
Why hire a wedding planner/coordinator?
We like to think of a wedding coordinator as an insurance policy. After months of tirelessly planning for your wedding, you want to be
able to relax on the wedding day – and have your parents relax as well. Your wedding should be a day for you and your families to
socialize and spend quality time with your guests. Having jpb designs coordinating your wedding allows you the freedom to enjoy
every last moment from one of the most special days of your lives. By having jpb designs by your side, you have a trusted advisor and
confidant working with you to help you plan your wedding. Planning a wedding generally comes at a time when you are most busy
in your lives. Whether it is house hunting, moving, job hunting, or starting new jobs, the time you spend planning a wedding can be
overwhelming. Hiring jpb designs can help with your time management as well as eliminating some tasks from your to-do list!
My venue already has an on-site coordinator, what is the value of hiring jpb designs as an independent coordinator?
Venue coordinators can be wonderful, and they will help you with items that need taken care of soley within their venue. Typically, how
jpb designs differs from an on-site coordinator is that we are the “bookends” to your wedding day. Anything that comes before or
after, in addition to your reception, we handle with ease. Prior to your wedding day, we contact your vendors, firm up details, finalize a
timeline, and assure your vendors will work cohesively as a team. Additionally, we are available to help coordinate your beauty
appointments, orchestrate the rehearsal, facilitate guest transportation, and cue the bridal party for the ceremony – to name a few
tasks we perform. We provide a consistency throughout the day. It’s nice to have this seamlessness with a wedding coordinator who
has the “whole picture” in mind.
When should I hire jpb designs?
Because we have worked hard to find professional, talented vendors and we love to recommend them to our couples! It is a definite
benefit to seek out jpb designs early in your planning process, whether you are interested in wedding coordination or more.
However, if you find you are much closer to your wedding date and suddenly see the need for hiring a coordinator, we can easily get
all the details together in order to help take the stress off you and your family for a relaxed, enjoyable wedding day.
Can I get advice from jpb designs without choosing the full planning option?
Absolutely! In addition to our coordination package, we also offer an a la carte menu, which includes hourly consulting and design
services, among other offerings. Additionally, we have no problem helping you with the occasional question. In fact, it helps
troubleshoot any problems that could potentially arise on the wedding day.
Does jpb designs accept commissions/kickbacks from other vendors?
No. We don’t feel comfortable with this, and thus, we don’t accept any. If offered, we will ask the vendor to credit that dollar amount
straight to our client instead.
