Target Competency: This lesson focuses on the critical subject of workplace
communication for Grade 9 (4A's). Students will be introduced to the basics of
effective communication, including verbal, non-verbal, written, and digital
communication in a professional setting. With real-world examples, interactive
activities, and engaging discussions, the students will learn about different
communication styles, barriers to effective communication, and strategies to improve
their own communication skills. By understanding the intricacies of professional
communication, students will be better prepared not only for their future careers but
also for productive interactions in daily life.

III. PROCEDURE
A. Review
What is communication? Explain.
B. Motivation
The students will be grouped into two groups and choose one
representative to go to the teacher and pick from the teacher’s box. The
word that the representative has chosen will be guessed by the team
members. The other group will have the chance to steal. The group with
the most correct guessed words will win the game.
2. C. Activities
The learners will be grouped into six members each. Each group will
get a pair from the group. The other pair will draw at the back of his/her
pair and the other pair will draw on the board what his/her pair was
drawn in his/her back.

What are the barriers to communicating effectively?
What are the ways to improve your communication skills?
E. Abstraction
Proceed to the next lesson.
Ask students their ideas about digital communication in a
professional setting.
Introduce the need to communicate with people effectively.

The students will be grouped into five. The students will have a roleplay
on how effective communication was shown in the workplace by the
given scenarios.
