Why This Song? The reason we picked this song is because we
can make many interpretations from this, which
makes it easier for us to let out our creativity in the
group. The repetitive chorus will make it easier to
get the audience's attention and will make them
think and remember the images within the lyrics.
Additionally , the lyrics are relatable to the theme
of being in love, which made it easier for us to
come up with our music video idea.
We picked this song because, when listening to it,
you get a very clear image of what the
sequence is, and given that this is from the
Alternative/Indie genre and that it’s a niche
market, the codes & conventions are easy to
break away from - for the music video.

The attire worn by our actors is going be typical
date attire, so anything stylish and comfortable
really.
In terms of the visual style that we are going to go
with, we have decided to make it quite
aesthetically appealing through the use of
vibrant colours. The vibe given off should be quite
sweet to compliment our actors relationship.
The colouration of the video is going to be
vibrant. In the edit we will add a filter in order to
make the colours stand out.
Basic Idea of the
music video
- The main focus of the video is the narrative.
- “I feel my heart beating...cause you make
me feel like i’m alive again” - clear visual
narrative to go with lyrics.
- The actual music video is animated, featuring
monkeys.
- We wanted to focus the video on a young
couple who are adventurous, happy, clumsy
and real. (kinda broke too…)
- Kayleigh and Jamie will be our couple. We
chose them because we thought they would
fit the characters well through their
personalities and because they will be
available to film most of the time.
- We may also add friends of the characters so
that it is not only about a couple in love but
