1. Junior Systems Administrator/Web Programmer
Job Description
The Junior Systems Administrator/Web Programmer is responsible for the primary support and
maintenance of all databases and web applications. This position is responsible for the training and job
duties of the Lilly Intern position or any work study student that is assigned for the Administrative Systems
area. This position reports to the IT Operations Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for all Jenzabar, JICS, PowerFAIDs and support product upgrades
Responsible for weekly administrator duties including scheduled job validation, backup confirmation
and monitoring available space on all database and web servers
Responsible for training and job duties for work study or Lilly Intern or help desk employees
Design and develop and implement existing portlet applications within the Jenzabar JICS framework.
Develop Web enabled solutions that provide presentation and reporting of information and the
collection of data relevant to the administrative processes of the University.
Troubleshoot production issues according to service level targets.
Provide excellent customer service in all written and verbal communications.
Identify innovative solutions that support the University mission.
Identify and assist with implementation of application development best practices.
Manage applications security for the administrative software systems.
Provide support for the Web content management system.
Assist the Systems Administrator in day to day operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Skill Requirements
Web design and development experience
Strong knowledge of MSSQL and Server Management Studio, stored procedures, Microsoft Access,
Visual Basic, Visual Studio, Dreamweaver, Java, ASP.Net, C# and ColdFusion Programming
Experience with database management
Knowledge of Server 2012, Office 365 and SCCM
Working knowledge of Infomaker, or similar report writer
Willingness to learn or has previous experience with ASP.Net framework (C# knowledge preferred)
and solid understanding of Object Oriented Design and Programming
Experience with a higher education ERP application, especially Jenzabar EX
Experience supporting a Web content management system
Familiarity with project management concepts and proven ability to estimate work effort and meet
deadlines
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
Higher Education IT experience desired
Works independently, but under general supervision by the IT Operations Manager
Pays great attention to detail
Ability to manage projects, people and multiple tasks in an organized fashion
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information

Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience
